This fire was fueled from a young age, from the video games I played to the animations that captured my imagination. As I grew older, I got enamored with the technological prowess of CGI and began honing my craft. This started me off on a journey where I was able to integrate the various forms of entertainment with a touch of creativity.
Having graduated from Nanyang Technological University, I have developed a keen interest in video making and creating VFX animated visuals and motion graphics to help tell stories and share comprehensible information. My experiences have led me to do graduate research in understanding future prospects of technology for film making. Today, I have managed to establish a wider spectrum of visual sense and design into my works."
Boulder Kid is the moniker and persona of Victor Ong. Victor likes games, movies, books, and music. His current interests lie in the new media convergence - exploring and being part of the motion design and games industries.
Boulder Kid is his aspiration of steadfast and solid grounds for growth. It is also an image that is branded with down to earth trustworthiness and reliability. The nickname "Boulder", lasted for almost more than a decade for Victor between his closest buddies since high school.
Victor has an extensive experience in media production, ranging from Visual Effects, Animation, Film Production and Motion Design. Recently he has also started dabbling in AI research and game development engines such as Unity and Unreal Engine. Victor is also an educator who is motivated to share his insights and experiences with students and instil the fundamentals of media production.
